There I am, sitting in front of the computer, browsing for jobs. Yes, dull. Scrolling through each page, it’s always the same…cleaner…care assistant…chef…labourer, the usual. Hang on, Sales Apprentice? I had heard of Apprenticeships, engineering, hairdressing etc. But, Sales Apprentice? This was not something I had heard of before. I immediately took interest in this and looked on how to apply. Simple, a telephone call was all I needed. The next day I gave them a ring and was told I would be contacted…I was not contacted until a month later, but was offered an interview. I was excited that I had finally been given a chance to apply for a job that had prospects.
Little did I know, I would have to leave an hour early so I would get to my interview on time, I was not phased by the fact that I would have to walk for an hour. I was determined to show that I am capable. I must have been extremely determined, a walk that’s supposed to take an hour, took 45 minutes. I didn’t want to be too early...
